The primary job function of the Network Engineer is to the monitor and maintain the operational, performance and integrity of the company’s enterprise Infrastructure and 1500+ Franchisee locations. This would include HQ’s software/applications, hardware, and network efficiency in a 24x7 on premise data center and cloud environments, provide documentation for process changes and format updates, and minimize risk and exposure to system security and business interruption on HQ’s and Franchisee infrastructure.
The Network Engineer will play a vital role in supporting Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) from inception. As a member of the Network Operations Center team, you will collaborate closely with our IT Operations Center, Problem & Change Management process and assist in Continual Service Improvement (CSI) on the major incident and problem tickets for proper Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) and other Change Management and ITIL practices. You will serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical colleagues and facilitate communication and process improvement resolutions across multiple cross-functional areas, including Client Services and Application teams, Service Desk, Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Account Management to ensure our products and services can be delivered successfully to HQ and our Franchisees.

  • Oversee the day-to-day activity to progress our Continuous Process Improvement within the NOC and IT Operations Center; become a subject matter expert in Network and System Monitoring and recommend process improvements aligned with our Continual Service Improvement process
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configurations for the core network and customers
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc. using available network tools in a timely fashion
  • Train and Mentor fellow Engineers
  • Build cooperative relationships between infrastructure, application, and security teams with a focus on optimizing performance and minimizing disruptions, including building relationships with all levels of technical skills and management levels
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education or work experience
  • 3-5 years of NOC, Network Operations, Network Engineering, Systems/Server Administration, or Cloud-based network management
  • Expertise in ITSM utilizing ITIL that support B2B and systems across multiple customers and locations
  • Experience working in global multi-site environments
  • Experience with packet capture tools, Firewall, and Router/Switch technologies (Meraki and Palo Alto)
  • Must have prior experience maintaining Azure; managing and maintaining windows environments
  • Network security fundamentals required
  • Familiar with DHCP/DNS
  • CCNA required; CCNP preferred
  • Network +, Cisco CCT, Palo Alto Certifications would be a plus
  • In-Depth TCP/IP troubleshooting 
  • Python, PowerShell, or other useful automation scripting languages
  • Previous PagerDuty experience
  • Understanding of BGP routing
