As the Senior Events Manager, you must have a proven track record of planning and executing a variety of corporate events, including but not limited to annual convention, annual training summit events, regional training events, trade shows, small business meetings and corporate parties as scheduled. You will manage all aspects of corporate events, such as advance communication with attendees, managing relationships with speakers and outside vendors, and securing accommodations, while assuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to. 
This position will oversee our Events and provide direction and leadership for team members to carry out their functions related to each event successfully and efficiently.
The Events Manager will also be responsible for establishing and reporting on performance metrics for each event including engagement, behavioral change, expense management and reduction and participant satisfaction. 
  • Deliver a long-term event strategy with clear and measurable KPIs and business outcomes
  • Partner with executive level stakeholders to ensure the event strategy is fully aligned with key corporate messaging and priorities and delivers desired business impact. Make data driven recommendations about changes to events or event calendar based on achieving desired business outcomes 
  • Manage, supervise, coordinate and implement events, such as conferences, training summits, business meetings, corporate staff appreciation events, trade shows, and regional training workshop events
  • Develop event strategies that drive employee or network engagement and participation
  • Leverage new trends and technology to offer increasingly compelling sponsorship opportunities that align with the brand and event messaging, and grow revenue
  • Ensure event logistics, services, and shipping are handled on time and within budget 
  • Oversee the management of all event support documents, including schedules, spreadsheets, and data files
  • Manage the development of concepts, themes, and formats for all major events for the organization that engage supporters and increase brand awareness
  • Coordinate meeting/presentation rooms and needs for corporate events, including AV, F&B, sleeping rooms, entertainment, transportation, and overall event support requirements
  • Make independent event purchasing and spending decisions within budget allowances
  • Perform site inspections of potential event venue locations
  • Manage the booking of venues, negotiations of fees, contract details, and overseeing the execution of finalized contracts
  • Oversee the selection of F&B menus and finalize BEO’s 
  • Prepare and manage registration process (manual or online/website)
  • Analyze event registration performance and oversee the preparation of appropriate event logistics support in relation to event attendance and needs requirements
  • Recruit and manage vendor sponsorship opportunities, communications, registrations, and assignments
  • Source viable options for event speakers, guest presenters and event entertainment
  • Manage vendor and speaker payments for the events – assure contracts are within budgetary allowance
  • Oversee the coordination of AV, entertainment, decoration, service, and products for events as required
  • Supervise the progress of the planning and execution of each task that has to do with the event
  • Oversee the coordination of event staff and schedules and ensure staff are adequately prepared for the events
  • Manage the collaboration between the Events and Marketing Team in event promotion and communications
  • Oversee the coordination of legal document requirements with Legal Team
  • Oversee the process of sourcing and securing the required event insurance policies
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for event support for the duration of the event setup, execution and tear-down
  • Manage all invoicing, payment, and sponsorship collections with Accounting Department to assure timely collection of all payments due to Company prior to event execution
  • Monitors event budget by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Produce monthly budget reports
  • Set up and track purchase orders to align with budget considerations
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications or Hospitality
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in event planning, preferably for a global franchise 
  • Management experience with large budgets, complex negotiations, and cross-functional teams 
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Is a strong negotiator and seeks creative solutions to partner with vendors to get more for less
  • Frequently handles situations involving uncertainty and the need for interpretation and evaluation resulting from continuing changes
  • Demonstrate flexibility, analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve situations in a professional and calm manner
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with internal stakeholders, franchisee partners, exhibitors/sponsors, vendors, and attendees
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levels including to the executive team
  • Able to produce business correspondence, proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and well-developed analytical skills
  • Extreme proficiency in MS Office programs:  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
This position has supervisory responsibilities.

This is a full-time position.
Travel is required for this position.
